Curriculum Overview
UCL offers research-led teaching in a wide range of subjects: Arts and Humanities, Social and Historical Sciences, Built Environment, Law, Engineering Sciences, Medical Sciences, Life Sciences, Maths/Physical Sciences, and Fine Art.
Degrees specialise in one subject, or two subjects jointly. They are 3 years, sometimes 4 years, long - and many involve study abroad opportunities. Class sizes are kept small and are taught by established full-time faculty.
Student Life
Students belong to the UCL student union, which organises sporting, media, cultural and social activities. UCL has its own theatre and sports grounds. And it is close to all the facilities that London has to offer (entertainment, employment, shopping, sport, travel...)
Special Services
UCL has a doctor's practice. Degree students are treated free under the NHS. Other services include dentist, student counselling, rights and advice (for help with housing and legal problems).
