Students studying at Birkbeck College are eligible to apply for accommodation at one of the University of London's Halls of Accommodation. Further advice can be obtained from the University of London Accommodation Office (ULAO). Although accommodation is more expensive in London than in other UK cities, there is a considerable amount of private accommodation available. Students who are prepared to live at a distance from the centre of London may find that they are able as a result to afford accommodation which is more comfortable and suitable than what is available in the centre.
