AustraLearn is the North American representative for 29 major universities in Australia and New Zealand. In Christchurch, Lincoln University and the University of Canterbury offer students excellent degree options in almost any field of study.
AustraLearn assists students with finding the right university and program, provides applications and prospectuses for the universities, and provides a wide range of services to make sure students actually get there. These services include assistance with enrollment details, the student visa, financial aid, accommodation, airline tickets, and general country information.
Curriculum Overview
The University of Canterbury offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs, from Arts, Commerce, Science, Law, Music & Fine Arts, Engineering, Forestry, Social Work and Speech & Language Therapy.
Lincoln University offers an extensive range of courses from English Language and Foundation Studies (university entrance qualification), to Certificate/Diploma, undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate level qualifications. There is an extensive range of programs available from Tourism Management, Commerce and Management, Applied Computing, Social Science, Recreation Management, Agriculture and Agricultural Science, Landscape Architecture, Viticulture and Oenology, and applied Commerce degrees in Agriculture, Food industry, Forestry, Hotel and Institutional Management, Transport and Logistics, Valuation and Property Management and Environmental Management.
Student Life
Lincoln's campus is set in the beautiful Canterbury plains and provides everything you need, including accommodation in halls of residence. Lincoln offers the perfect environment for undisturbed study and is just 20 minutes away from all that the city of Christchurch has to offer you: pubs, clubs, music, movies, theatre, the arts, and of course Christchurch’s famous sporting events and facilities.
Christchurch is the largest city in New Zealand ’s South Island and is also known as the "Garden City". It lies on the coastal edge of the Canterbury Plains close to both the sea and the mountains. The city offers plentiful cultural and recreational opportunities, a vibrant café and nightlife scene and also superb access to the National Parks and wilderness areas of New Zealand ’s Southern Alps , the foothills of which are just an hour’s drive away. Beautiful beaches are close by and ski-ing and snowboarding can be found at five ski-fields within 90 minutes of the city - just imagine, you can surf and ski in the same day! Rafting, kayaking and bungy jumping are just a short drive away. Beautiful scenery abounds in this part of the country and after a hard week of study you can travel just a short distance to find yourself surrounded by it.
The climate in Christchurch is mild and temperate with warm, dry summers and temperatures ranging between 18º and 25ºC. In the winter months of June, July and August daytime temperatures are cooler and are between 5º and 15ºC.

Financial Aid
Canterbury and Lincoln are both Title IV certified and thus can accept federal aid from the U.S. Government. You can utilize Stafford Loans, Parent PLUS Loans, and private education loans for your degree abroad.
Housing
Prearranged accommodation is available. It is also possible to find an apartment upon arrival with assistance from the housing office at the university.
